What is more romantic than a rendezvous with your love in our cosy French bistrot?
Join us as we mark three years open and celebrate your love this Valentine's Day with an intimate set menu at le Bistrot. We'll be serving up some French favourites in our lovingly prepared set menu featuring oysters, chicken ballotine, aged beef and poached peach with raspberry sorbet.

Larousse in Real Life: Melbourne Food and Wine Festival 2025
Join us at Smith St Bistrot for a five-course feast celebrating Auguste Escoffier's five mother sauces—béchamel, velouté, espagnole, hollandaise, and tomato. Larousse in Real Life pays homage to the legendary book 'Larousse Gastronomique' and is designed with the ultimate Francophile in mind.
Inspired by the foundational techniques documented by Escoffier, our menu transforms the theoretical brilliance of French cuisine into a living, breathing dining experience. Guests will receive a commemorative recipe booklet and can enhance their evening with an optional Burgundy wine pairing, creating a memorable journey through the fundamental building blocks of French gastronomy.
